O que vemos esconde, muitas vezes, elementos estruturantes da imagem ou objeto apresentado. Parece que, esconder o princípio construtivo das coisas está relacionado com ideais de controle do conhecimento, ou mesmo omitir certos sinais que possam desestabilizar a consciência da realidade.
Ao propor uma intervenção no Conjunto Cultural da Caixa, estabeleci procedimentos que pudessem direcionar o pensamento para os processos técnicos que envolvem instalações de barras metálicas no solo para dar apoio às construções arquitetônicas. Assim, estaríamos discutindo os “ritmos ocultos” presentes na Terra.
A obra “Ritmo oculto” foi constituída com barras de ferro, argila, aparelho reprodutor de DVD e TV. A instalação foi adaptada na porta de entrada dos banheiros masculino e feminino da instituição. A interrupção do fluxo das pessoas naquele espaço gerou interpretações associadas às imagens presentes no vídeo inserido na “parede de adobe”, pois trata-se de um registro da penetração do metal na Terra, por meio de um equipamento conhecido como “bate-estaca”.
Imaginar que existem “linhas” verticais abaixo da terra é um exercício que induz nossa imaginação pensar num ritmo oculto capaz de manifestar em nós um sinfonia gráfica do que não se pode ver. Um ritmo (desenho) invisível presente.
What we see, many times hides structuring elements of the image or the object presented. It seems that hiding the constructive principle of things is related with the ideal control of knowledge, or even omiting certain signs that may destabilize the awareness of reality.
In proposing an intervention at Caixa Cultural, I have set procedures that could direct the thinking towards technical processes that envolve installing metal bar facilities on the ground to support the architectural constructions. Thus, we would be discussing the "hidden rhythms" present on Earth.
The piece "Hidden Rhythm" was built with iron bars, clay, DVD player and TV unit. The installation was adapted at the entrance of the public toilets in the institution. The interruption of access of people in that space generated interpretations associated with the images on the video inserted in the "adobe wall" because it is a recording of the penetration of metal on Earth through a device known as "slam".
Imagining that there are vertical "lines" below the earth is an exercise that induces our imagination to think of a hidden rhythm able to manifest in us a graphical symphony that can not be seen. An invisible but present rhythm (drawing).
